Ogden – Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, Shirley Rose Lynch Cawley, 84, was called home, as she was surrounded by her family, January 22, 2011. She was born April 5, 1926 in Ogden to Patrick Joseph and Florence Rose Burk Lynch. She was a graduate of Ogden High School and a member of the LDS Church.Shirley married Harold Tracy Cawley April 18, 1944 in Ogden; they had 66 years together.
She enjoyed quilting, sewing, gardening, cooking, bowling, crocheting and growing African Violets and Roses. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her large, devoted family., especially her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Shirley is survived by her husband, Harold; children, Mary (Mike) Cates, David (Nancy) Cawley, Brent (Colleen) Cawley and Scott (Laurel) Cawley; 17 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren and1 great-great-granddaughter. A grandson (Matthew Cawley) and three great-grandsons (Casey Martinez, David Brixey and Matthew Brixey) are currently serving LDS Missions. She is also survived by two brothers James Patrick and George Gilbert Lynch.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Patricia; and great-granddaughter, Lexi.
