Clayton W. Price - 8/21/2011

Class of 1991

Clayton W. Price died as a result of a tragic accident, August 21, 2011 in Cedar City Utah. Clay was born January 2, 1973 to Dick and Darlene Price, and was the youngest of five boys. Clay married Janette Felstead November 10, 2001. Clay and Janette were blessed with one daughter, Samantha, who was the light of his life.

Clay was raised and attended school in Cedar City, but grew up and was educated on the mountain. Clay loved the outdoors whether it was hunting, fishing or just spending time with his family and friends. Rodeo was Clay’s first love; he was riding before he was walking and won many awards in bare back competitions.

Clay was a very creative and talented craftsman, from wood, steel, leather, or any object he might come upon, he could find beauty and usefulness from anything.

Clay worked hard throughout his life and became a General Contractor. He built many homes and cabins in and around Cedar City.

Clay was always the first one to help someone in need and made friends with everyone. Clay’s laugh was infectious, and his easy going and loving personality brought happiness to everyone he knew.

Clay was preceded in death by his parents, Dick and Darlene Price.

He is survived by his wife Janette, his daughter Samantha, his brothers Wade (Marie) Rhodes, Mark (Mary Ann) Rhodes, Christopher Rhodes, Scott (Malinda) Rhodes, Lynn Price and many nieces and nephews.

If there was ever someone who could truly say “I did it my way”, it was Clay. He will always be loved and missed by his family and many friends.
