IVINS - Thomas Glen Nixon, age 20, passed away Monday, August 29, 2005, at his home in Ivins, Utah, surrounded by family. He was born June 14, 1985, in St. George, Utah, a son of Michael Roy and Jan Gubler Nixon. Thomas and Brittney Ann Hansen were married December 26, 2003, in Washington, Utah, and their marriage was later solemnized in the St. George Temple.

Thomas was born, raised and educated in St. George, where he attended Snow Canyon High School. He was an excellent drummer and had his own band, called "Anti-Conformity." Music was his passion.

A guy who loved life and lived it to the fullest, Thomas always made those around him feel better, and was gifted to have the ability to lift their spirits. He was humorous, loving, compassionate, always thinking of others, loved unconditionally, and everyone was his friend.

He cherished his wife, Brittney. Thomas said that his goal had always been to get married and have 16 children. The temple was a healing place for Thomas and Brittney, and they especially wanted to be near his parents as they served in the baptistry.

For the past five years, Thomas has suffered from Ewing's Sarcoma, and during this time he has touched many lives in truly meaningful ways. Primary Children's Hospital was Thomas's turf. He loved everyone at Primary Children's Hospital and at Dixie Regional Medical Center. Dr. Jerry Twiggs was Thomas's doctor, a wonderful physician. How grateful the family is for a loving, caring, compassionate doctor and medical attendants.

Thomas is survived by his: wife, Brittney, of Ivins, UT; parents, Michael & Jan, of Ivins, UT; siblings, Troy Michael Nixon, of St. George, UT, Elisha Lee Doss, of Washington, UT, and Shaleese Marie Nixon, of Ivins, UT; grandparents, Glen & Loya Gubler, serving in the Adam-Ondi-Ahman Mission; nieces, Billie, Nya, Bailey, and Shannon; and nephews, Dimitri, Treven, and Erik.
