Sterling Leeden Prevost, 31, of Denver, Colorado passed on Sunday, June 19th, 2011. He was born on December 14th, 1979 to Betsy and Tom Prevost and was raised in Saint George, Utah.
Sterling had an amazing sense of humor, loved adventure, and meeting new people. He was an avid outdoorsman and would drop everything to go camping, hiking, shooting and swimming; especially if there was a bonfire. Sterling was enjoying the outdoors when he waded into the Colorado River, slipped, and was swept away by the current.
He is survived by his wife, Enny Prevost; his parents, Betsy Prevost and Tom and Cecile Prevost; his aunt Emilie Benner; his brother and his wife, Thom and Marci Prevost; his sister, Margaret Prevost; three nephews, Sam, Aaron, and Noah Prevost. He is also survived by his aunt and uncle, Margaret and Dale Slack; other extended family, and more friends than he could count.
Services will be held at Calvary Chapel, Saint George on Saturday, June 25th, 2011 at 10:00 am. The family would like to ask that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the organizations that participated in his rescue attempt, The Vail Valley Salvation Army at P.O.
