Richard Glen Taggart - 12/1/2010

Class of 1947

OGDEN - Our beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Richard Glen Taggart, passed away peacefully in his sleep on December 1, 2010. He was born on July 20, 1929, in Ogden, Utah to Ray Heiner Taggart and Margaret Lavon Pickett Taggart. He graduated from Ogden High School in 1947. Dad married his high school sweetheart, Sharol Braegger, on February 4, 1949, in the Salt Lake Temple. His greatest love is his wife of 61 years and their six children, Doug (Erin) of Liberty, Becky McBride of Plain City, Connie (David) Graves of Brigham City, Rick (Michelle) of Kaysville, Keith of Kaysville and Jill (Collin) Homer of Valley Springs, South Dakota, and their 26 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren (and 3 on the way ).

Dad was a faithful and devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He and mom served a mission in Brisbane Australia from 1995-1997. A quiet and humble man of integrity and humor, he was a wonderful example to his family and an unfailing source of faith and love.

He is survived by his wife and children, a brother, Jerry (Sheryl), sister, Cheryl (Ralph) Tenbrink and brother and sister- in- law Don and Jeanne Braegger. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother and sister-in- law Dean and Marilyn Taggart and son-in-law Dennis McBride.

Mom asks, in lieu of flowers, that you take your family out to dinner.

We love you, dad!
