Grand County High School

Elections took place at GCHS during the month of April, with student body officers and class officers being chosen by student vote.

Next year’s student body president will be Brendon Henderson, with Jacob Francis as vice president, Becca Farnsworth as secretary, and Haley Rice as public relations officer. All will be seniors next year.

For next year’s senior class, Layton Call was elected president, with Meera Edwards as vice president, Jessica Valdes as secretary, and Reyce Knutson as club council representative.

The new junior class officer will be Andrew Hugentobler as president, Kesley Backus as vice president, Cora Johnston as secretary, and Tanner White as club council representative.

Next year’s sophomore class president will be Asia Nielson, with Madi Jones as vice president, Lily Hazlett as secretary, and Brityn Ballard as club council representative.

Elections were also held at Grand County Middle School for next year’s freshman class officers. They are Kortney Backus as president, Jacob Johnston as vice president, Lexi Pierce as secretary, and Tia Shumway as club council representative.

GCHS drama teacher Maralee Francis will continue to serve as the student government’s faculty adviser.
