Tyler died due to injuries sustained in pedestrian-auto accident on 700 East in front of Hillcrest High. His Mother, an ER Nurse, had just dropped him off on her way to work. She had no way to know the next time she would see him would be at her own ER. A co-worker of hers was not sure it was Tyler since he had a tattoo. His Mother had no knowledge of him having a tattoo. His Mother would later identify him.
