Laurie Marrott Jones, 59, of American Fork passed away Friday, May 28, 2010 at her home. Laurie was born September 6, 1950 in American Fork to Weldon and Lois Boulter Marrott. She married Glen Jones and together had four children. They were later divorced.Laurie grew up in Pleasant Grove and was raised by Goldie and Weldon. She graduated from Pleasant Grove High School in 1968. Laurie was the type of person who shared everything with anyone in need. Her children remember her as a mother to everyone and her home was open to all. Her passion in life was her family and nothing was more important to her. She loved the Gospel and always had a strong testimony in her heart.
She is survived by her four children: Chad (Jennifer) Jones, Spanish Fork; Charity (J-P) Rees, Tooele; Goldie (Joel Jr.) Stone, Anchorage; Cassie (Dave) Murray, American Fork; 10 grandchildren; mother, Goldie and siblings: Susan, Eddie, RoxAnne, RoeAnne, Tonya, Shelli, Marty, Kathy, Carol and Jim. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Butch.
