Violet Lorraine Morris, 80, passed away on Thursday, October 25, 2012 in Pleasant Grove, UT. She was born November 27, 1931 in Manilla, Utah, to Reuben Neils Jeppson and Margaret Millet Jeppson.
Lorraine was so loving and kind to everyone. She worked at the Utah State Developmental Center in American Fork until her retirement after thirty years of service. She cared for severely mentally and physically handicapped patients as their nurse with love and respect. Through her retirement years she enjoyed camping and traveling with her loving companion, Don.
Lorraine loved to grow beautiful roses in her garden. She had a very independent spirit and was a great and supportive friend. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She made her family feel loved by just the sound of her voice and loving smile. She loved and adored her many cats. She meticulously cared for herself, always getting her hair done every week.
We will miss your voice & your friendship. You are always blessed and in our hearts. We love you!
She is survived by her loving companion, Don Hines; her daughter, Melinda Peterson; brothers, Lynn Jeppson (Annette), Neal Jeppson (Sylvia); sisters, Ruby Anderson and Cheryl Bartley; and her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Reuben and Margaret Jeppson; son, Robert Morris; grandson, Robert Morris Jr.; and sister, Virginia Bowen.
The family wishes to express their many thanks to Sharon and the Staff at the Lake View Elderly Care Estate, as well as A+ Home Care & Hospice for their loving care and attention they gave to Lorraine.
A Visitation will be held Monday, October 29th from 11:00 am to 12:00 Noon at the American Fork 6th Ward, 320 North 100 East, American Fork, UT. A Graveside Service will be held following the Visitation at 12:30 pm in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery.
